Thomann Classic Violinset 4/4

This comes with everything you will need to start playing the violin. I am a complete beginner so I can't say the exact quality in terms of sound produced by the instrument but from a beginner's point of view it is perfect.

It comes with the violin itself, a good quality case, a bow, rosin, and a shoulder rest. It has allows me to get started using this product straight away.

The instrument came fully set up and stringed and almost in tune. Just be aware that this adds a day or two to delivery times (at least it did in my case) as the violin first went to Thomann's strings section to set up. This very slight delay was fully worth it though as I could take it out of the box, make some very minor adjustments to tuning, and start playing (albeit very badly as I am a complete beginner but that is me not the instrument).

The shipping time was very good and the packaging it came in was perfect. I had one or two question for Thomann and the customer service was excellent.

All in all I would highly recommend this to anyone who is starting off. The service, quality, and value is excellent. I know there are much better quality violins available at much higher price points but for someone who is starting to play this is ideal.

For this price you can't really find solid wood instruments, so this is a steal for the price. The instrument is tuned and adjusted by Thomann's luthier team before the shipment, so that it arrives ready to play.
The body feels nice and solid, it responds quite well (much better than other violins in this price range made from composite wood).
The mounted strings are really cheap and thin, they can break pretty soon but you will hear a massive improvement in the sound after changing them to newer and more expensive ones.
The bow broke immediately when put to tension so i couldn't use it.
The case is really light and doesn't look like it would survive heavy use, but it is nice to store the instrument.
The sound is not comparable to a professional violin, but it is by far better than many other violins in this price range.
I'm giving 5 stars because i'm really impressed with the violin, the bow and the case sadly are not great as the instrument.
THe tuning

This is my first instrument purchased as an educational tool. The cover is fabric, dense, it fixes the instrument well inside, there is a niche for storing rosin, napkins and other trifles. The insert is made of soft material, pleasant to the touch, well adapted to the size of the instrument. There is a convenient fixation of the bow on the counterpart of the cover. The violin itself is performed well, I did not find any defects in the varnish and the soundboard. All neck and hardware joints are well finished and fit. The strings in the kit are mediocre, but you can play. The tuning does not last long, you have to tune the instrument before each use. I can't understand if this is a feature of the violin or a minus of this instrument. Hair falls out of the bow, about 5 strands in two weeks. Otherwise, the violin is easy to use and comfortable to practice. I can recommend it as the first tool for the available funds.

I was a little skeptical about the low price at first, having previously owned a very poorly-made violin that cost twice the price of this one, but having read the reviews I decided to buy this.

I have been only playing for about a week so far but I'm loving it! The sound is much warmer than I expected, and the shade of the violin is beautiful despite not being glossy (no complaints there!). The bow is fair, medium-weight, and the tuning pegs don't slip.

I was also impressed with the cleaning cloth, cleaning/polishing solution, shoulder rest and rosin that were included in the sturdy case. All in all, a very good deal for the price! You can tell they really put effort and love into making this instrument.
