Thomann Wind Gong 30

I bought this wind gong to use in private yoga lessons.
The sound is amazing, grave and loud. It could be used for group classes too.
It is beautiful and ornamental too.
The only con I could find is that I could not find a case for it, so I had to make one myself.

I use this for sound healing sessions, but I am careful not to hit too hard as this small gong has a tendency to scream (as all small wind gongs would), but played with subtlety, this is an amazing instrument with surprisingly diverse resonances for its size. I do not use the mallet supplied as is. I covered it with softer fleece to dampen the sound to my taste and for use in confined areas over clients who may be sensitive to sharp clang sounds.

I bought 3 gongs from Thomann and I am completely satisfied that the price in relation to quality of sound and beauty of appearance is absolutelysuperb. I have been completely satisfied with all my purchases from Thoman, especially the Harley Benton Telecasters which, with a little work, I transformed from high quality low cost guitars into world class instruments.

Never had a gong before, but got one to use to round up the family at meal times! This one does just fine - it makes a nice "dong" sound when struck and looks pretty good as well.

This hand gong is a superb quality with a magical tone and deep resonance. I highly recommend this gong.

Very good tone and weight.
Produces nice sound and holds note.
Would prefer leather rope but not an issue at all for use.

Price is a bargain for such an item.
