Thomann Wood Shaker

The build quality looks nice and the shaker looks bulletproof but I can't really get a feel of this shaker. It feels like the inner cavity is too narrow and the pellets inside too large so I can't get them reaally moving in the groove. Don't know - maybe it works better for someone else. Since after owning it only a few months and rarely using it, I lost it after my first live with it someone else can now give it a try :) I won't be buying another one but will buy a Meinl SH88BK aluminium shaker instead. My friend has one and I really like it.

It looks very nice, sounds ok. All in all a fun percussive gadget to have in th estudio

I'd seen a bad review for this but still wanted to try it as I liked the idea of a wooden body. Glad I did because it's really nice. Much louder than I was expecting and really versatile if you angle it or pivot your movements around one hand.
