Les + :
- le poids : la légèreté de l'instrument est un vrai + pour le petit doigt.
- la possibilité de passer facilement du Sib/Fa (Bb/F) au Fa/Sib (F/Bb)
- la souplesse du matériaux des palettes n'est pas un handicap pour le jeu.
Le - :
- essentiellement le son : on retrouve bien la sonorité du cor mais pas la puissance ni l'aisance d'un cor en métal, l'ABS absorbe peut-être un peu trop d'énergie.
