I'm using it for a rack mixer with a short depth. A lot easier to carry around than a big, heavy rack. Also suitable for small rack mountable DMX mixers.
The build quality is fine.

Bought this to hold an American DJ Magic 260 DMX controller. Great built quality and is pleasantly heavy. The rails can extend out to quite an angle and they require a fair amount of effort to move - this is great for holding heavy items in place. I would definitely consider Thon for all other cases I buy.
