Purchased for use beside PA desk on live gigs. Installed a couple of Lexicon units and graphics for FOH and Monitors.
Dimensions are perfect for these units with space inside to hide short multicores, PSU's and the power bar which I tend to fix in with self adhesive Velcro. It is also takes up less overall space than its GRP alternatives.
Build quality is good and the catches are sturdy, but its construction materials are less robust than the GRP ones and so don't buy unless you treat all your gear with care!
One thing which concerns me is the way the handle is attached. It is secured with two pop rivets with moderately large heads. When lifted the material inside the lid frame flexes and I would have been happier if there had been a rectangular pad of some thin materials to spread the weight. However only time will tell whether the pop rivets pull through the plastic of the lid.
Certainly good value for money.

A
Good rack for light travelling
Anonymous 17.11.2016
I have this rack case for a while now, and mostly used it at home for music listening with the covers open. It is a travel rack, but the travel holder seems a bit weak as it is not reinforced with metal, it is locked in the wood directly. I used 5 of the 6U and one is a power strip (very light). The remaining 4U are taken by a 1U mixer, a 1U EQ and a 2U power amplifier and it does seem a bit not reliable to hold it by it's handle holder because of the total weight. I can assume that the handle would be unusable and would break the wood if using for example 3 amplifiers like mine that would take all 6Us, because they are the heaviest. But, if you carry it with both hands, there is no problem, the aluminium frame is sturdy. I like the independent screws, in that you are not forced to use the standard holes for your gear. I recommend this rack case for home studios and light travel, but take note of the weight load when adding gear in it.
