Awesome!
Woiperdinger 02.01.2020
The Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS12 is a really great power supply.

My board was NOISY using 3 pedals to power my whole chain with daisy chain cables.
I upgraded my patch cables a while ago to try and solve the noise, but the result was less than I had hoped.
The CS12 blew my mind though. I have very little noise from my pedals now, I would say no noise... But pedals make noise. Suffice to say, the noise level is so low now that I don't think of it at all.
No more buzzy distraction stopping me from getting into playing.

The build quality is very good. This has a good weight to it and is very well assembled.

This is my first BIG power supply, so I can't compare how hot it gets compared to other bricks, but mine doesn't really heat up all that much. Far less than my laptop and not even a fraction of my tube amp.
I run anywhere from 5-20 pedals off this power supply with no problems.
I use a Boss TU-2 and a Boss LS-2 to daisy chain a few extra pedals. I fully expected noise when I added the daisy chain, but is is dead quiet.

If I had to find a con, I would say that there aren't enough long cables to get around my whole board. It would be great if they included 2 more long cables and left out 2 short ones.

RS
Wonderful Power Supply!
Rogerius S 14.03.2022
I compared several options for power and I settled for this one. And I must say I am happy with this one. My rig will have about 10-ish pedals and I can power them all with ease. CS12 has options for all kinds of voltages, but so far I have not needed anything besides 9 volts. But if I should have the need for 12V or 18V, I have the options available. Truetone has 18V to 9V convertes to make the 2x18V jacks useable for 9V pedals.

The kit comes with brackets and screws needed to attach it to Pedaltrain Classic 1 pedalboard (i suppose it could be used to attach to other pedalboards as well or you could use velcro to put it on top of the board).

The product also came with a wide selection of power cables and it had a nice selection of shorter and longer leads. It solved all my needs and even had a long cable that I used to set my Wah pedal off the pedalboard. And it has several odd connectors for specific needs (battery clip, Line 6 jack etc).

The product came with an UK power cable, which was a pitty as I needed an EU one and the product description did not say that.

Exactly what I wanted
Anonymous 26.10.2016
I use this power supply for my moderately sized pedal board. I have about 6 pedals on there with one or two power thirsty pedals. I needed something to feed my existing power needs with the ability to cope with any future expansions

The pedal has really reduced the noise in my pedal chain. All outputs are isolated and if you wanted, you could daisy chain from every channel. There is a recommended miliamp rating on each channel but from my experience each channel can handle more than it is rated for.

I researched pedal power supplies for a few weeks, looking at all the different power supply options in the ¤150-¤250 range. Obviously everyone recommends the Voodoo Labs Power Supply 2 (VL PS 2). The CS12 is a cheaper option that I think has all the same capabilities of the VL PS 2 plus bonus extras, such as the sag option and the ability to change between EU and US voltage.

If you're seriously considering the VL PS 2 you need to look at this too. It's excellent.

If you think you can go without, think again.
Old Murray 26.05.2018
What an investment! For the longest time I figured I didn't need to spend on a powersupply. Boy, was I wrong.
I researched for a powersupply that would be plenty for the many pedals I use (with all the different voltages and polarities) and came across the Truetone 1Spot Pro CS12. Besides the fact that it supplies enough power and then some, it's build quality is superb. Stable, safe and easy to figure out. The many options it supplies, from power cables and polarity switch cable, the capability of choosing from 9v to 4v or 12v, plus the dedicated 18v ports, makes this product the one to have. Now, onto what really made the difference and made me think why the hell hadn't I invested in a good powersupply: The sound quality. I had some finnicky pedals that lost low end of were generally noisy. No more. It really brings your pedals to life.I have no regrets and there isn't a thing I don't like about it. It never gets hot, it's neat and tidy and it hides well under the pedalboard. What more could I want?

One of the best
Lunartune 11.01.2019
Sturdy unit that's an ultimate answer for most pedal power questions and considerations. Heartily recommended for anyone serious or just playfully passionate about guitar effects. A cornucopia of outputs and a 2900 mA max on the current draw is likely to suffice for any but the most extensive pedal arrays. There are cheaper (and less impressive/capable) options of course, but I think the CS12 can very well be the last power supply I need for my main pedalboard, even if I have upgrades and expansions in mind for the future.

Even better than expected
Sebasgitaar 09.02.2021
I bought this when I wanted to improve my pedalboard. Before I got this I was using a daisy chain and honestly the noise didn't seem like it was that bad. However when I first used this power supply there was no unwanted noise at all and I could never go back to using a daisy chain.
It's also super versitle so you can use 18V's for some drive pedals, you can use 12V's you have outputs with more amps, and an AC output.
It's also very well built, they often call the power supllies power bricks and this thing is more than tough enough to be called a brick.

So in short it's a well built, versatile, and noiseless power supply that I could recommend to everyone.

Absolutely top drawer power supply if you have a lot of pedals or a range of power current needs
NC Herbal 24.10.2020
VERY pleased owner. Substantial research into pedalboard power supplies will probably lead people to consider looking at the CS12. Having read many reviews and taking into account the really cheap price offered by Thomann I decided to buy one. Firstly, the customer service from Thomann is truly excellent - a small problem was quickly sorted out by their team. My item was out of stock, which I knew when ordering, but they kept me fully informed. The CS12 provides a great variety of voltages allowing you to power a spread of different pedals. The upper level of how much current this unit will knock out should really be enough for anyone. The unit provides juice to your pedals in a completely silent way. It also comes with a plethora of cables, which should allow you to power just about everything. As if they couldn't provide enough, you also get some mounting brackets to attach it to a Pedaltrain board, which I have done. All my pedals bar one are now connected, and I've just found out Truetone also sell a splitter cable which will allow me to power all 12 of my pedals. At this price, no-one else comes near. A genius product which I can't praise highly enough.

Good product. No issues.
PanForDin 23.12.2020
Works perfectly. No compatibility issues with any pedals.
Is too large to mount under a Harley Benton SpaceShip 40 pedalboard.
Is large enough that pedals my be mounted on top of the power unit itself with velcro negating the size issue.
Perfect otherwise.

One thing missing.

Doesn't have a 12v with more than 100mA. That's the only limit for my uses.

Noiseless & powerful
rey del espacio 17.12.2021
This is a great power supply that's worth every penny.
I've had a t-rex for years and I had to upgrade to something bigger.
The noise in my chain has been reduced, I can use it on more demanding pedals like Strymon's, and I've got an excuse to buy more pedals now.

Only negative is that the cables could be longer.
