I use this mouthpiece on a 1974 yamaha yas21 alto with java green no2 reeds. I love the tone I am getting across the whole range of the sax, and especially when I'm playing quietly. Most people are saying the quality could be better and I agree as far as the ligature and the logo stamp are concerned, but the reeds sit true, and the blowing is free and not too airy. Surely that's what matters most. I may find a better piece one day, as I've tried a wide vandoren jazz piece but found that way too loud and honky for my tastes. This meyer g5m will certainly do for me though as it compliments my setup brilliantly.
