Vandoren Hygro Reed Case Altsax

Very good case used for clarinet reeds.

Moisture from the reeds is enough to have inside desired humidity.
I had to add some water (drops only) when the case was left in dry, highly air-conditioned room. The case has ventilation holes.
Must be careful with thicker reeds (like Vandoren V12 / V21) - pushing reed too deep will leave dent from the retainer.

Handy case , holds reads well, I was a little disappointed that there was some mould on the reads with moist sponge, despite careful cleaning and maintenance. probably works better without moist sponge. Still a great product, maintains the read shape really well.

It does what it should do. It holds the reeds nice and tight. I feel like the blue indicator to tell whether to put new water in is not working properly. Overall, for the money it is a decent product

Based on reviews online I bought this case. Moisturing idea is cool and suppose it works. Case is nice and compact.
But now the bad things. First you have to be very careful when taking out middle part where reeds are stored. Middle reed becomes loose and can easily fall out. Also then it is easy to push reed to deep and damage it.
That is maybe my fault, but I think design is not the best.
Secondly, case after a year have many cracks in transparent case. An no it has not been dropped on the floor

It is a handy reed box. Supposedly the sponge at the front shows by changing color when to fill the sponge inside with water. I have never seen any kind of indication about that! So time to time, depending on weather conditions, I check how is the sponge doing!
Besides that detail, I am satisfied with the product

Great product, make sense on the €30 price does the job perfectly.
But it would be great if it was a bit tighter on the inside of the hygro case my soprano reeds kept slipping off. But other than that absolutely lovely.

It does the job efficiently

As a weekend warrior I'm using it without wetting the sponge. Otherwise the reeds are getting... hairy. It was a bit too big for my older Selmer flight case, so I switched and use this on for soprano and my older style reed case for the alto.
