Vandoren Jumbo Java Tenor Sax T45

As always, Vandoren products quality and value for money are outstanding! However in this particular occasion the promise of bigger beefier sound was fulfilled beyond measure and I personally found I could not handle the beast and it took me too far away from my sound. I love a sub-toney and deep mellow sound and wanted a bit more baffle and projection volume but this particular mouthpiece was a step too far in that direction and unfortunately mouthpieces have to be tested and tried to get a proper feel... very personal process for each player, there is no right or wrong! But the Jumbo T45 does what it says on the tin... in spades so if that's what you are looking for it's a good buy, you'll probably find yourself going up in reed strength , I had to go for a 4 in a V16 before I could control the sound better but still not what I was looking for...
