So far, I have only tried two of these reeds because I'm waiting to use the other reeds with a new mouthpiece. On a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece they definitely play much better than stock Vandoren strength 2 reeds.I feel better able to blow freely into the instrument.

Great sound

I have been using these particular reeds for the last 5 years or so as a professional musician.
(Vandoren reeds for over 30 years)

Sound is good... a nice easy response. In combination with my metal mouthpiece, it gives a warm and buzzy sound.

Most of the time I don't need to do too much adjustment. They just work straight out of the wrapper.

Well made but not my type of reed
RubenD 04.01.2022
Don't get me wrong, it's a well made reed. It just wasn't really for me as I personally didn't like the playability and the sound of it. This however is very subjective so I would suggest to test some different reeds and see which one you like best.

Cool Jazzy Reed!
Anonymous 16.04.2016
Very nice sound, I'd say "aggressive" and "powerful", but I wouldn't recommend for very beginners since they tend to be a bit "hard" compared to other reeds on the same dimensions. At least that's how I felt it! Anyway, if you want a quality reed with nice "jazzy" sound I recommend it!
