Velcro. The pedal fan's friend
Paul8331 19.02.2014
Getting good velcro for use on pedal boards is difficult. The velcro that can be bought in most shops is not strong enough for attaching pedals to a floorboard that will get stamped on every day. I use a Pedal Train board with about 8 pedals on it. Some of them are quite heavy and I want them to stay where I put them. This velcro does that. It is a good width and it's easy to cut and apply to pedals either in a single strip or 2 strips if the pedal is big enough to need it. As with all velcro though, there is a slight issue - it doesn't stay stuck to pedals with heavy rubber bases, like the usual bottom of a Boss pedal (and many others). The glue doesn't stick to the rubber properly. So this is excellent on metal or plastic, but not as good on rubber bottom pedals. Perhaps one day someone will make a velcro that will stick properly to the rubber as well. We can hope!

It goes a long way!
MatthewG 29.01.2014
A little of this tape goes a long way so far half a real has done several iterations of my board and my dads boards and is still going!
it sticks well to most pedals, as well as any other tape on the market and fixes securely to velcro in fact i had trouble removing my morely wah from the board it was so well stuck down!
the glue that holds the rubber on the back of a pedal will go before this stuff does so it has maximum points for durability infact the only problems that are to be had with this tape are that it will not stick to some pedals (Mooer) but this is easily solved by removing the base of the pedal and replacing it inside out and sticking it down that way.
As good as any other velcro tape on the market without the mark up, so why would you buy any other?

Essential

I was able to conceive, design and set up a quite complex rack-mounted electronic music system around a semi-modular synthesizer thanks to Velcro. This is the original one, with definitely better sticking material, so don't waste your money elsewhere.
