The missing link!

I have always been torn between a 5A or a 5B stick. The extra bit of power I can get from a 5B is great, but they have always been just a little too big for me to feel comfortable.

The 55A provides that extra bit of power when I need it, without feeling too foreign or awkward.

As with the majority of Vic Firth products, they're consistent, and pretty durable for the money. I playing can be on the heavier side, and the sticks take a fair bit of abuse. Definitely worth the money.

Decent.

Slightly heavier than 5A drumsticks, as the description says, which adds a little more volume.
Pretty decent and have a nice feeling on the hands.

My experience with these sticks are very similar to the Vic Firth 5A American Classic Hickory
Drumsticks in that there is a really nice weight and grip to these sticks rhat i never felt with any other set, and also the durability so far is proving very good, all at a pretty low price point. Id recommend these sticks from beginner drummers to professionals

KA
As advertised, great middle ground between 5A and 5B
Konstantinos A. 15.01.2016
Great sticks if you want some more power than what you get with a 5A, but 5B is too much for the application.

I really wish they would come out with a nylon tip as well, because I tend to break them, plus I like the nylon tip sound better on cymbals.
(My ideal stick would probably be an Extreme 55A made by Oak for more durability, Nylon and Wooden tip versions, but that may be too much to ask :P)
