Satisfactory but the price remains a mystery

I bought this nut to replace one that had been chipped in the hands of a local luthier and I cant say I notice any difference in tone or quality from the stock nut on my Strat, so the price remains a mystery to me. Nonetheless this wasn't a bad purchase and its a satisfactory part.
