This was my first warwick 5 string bass. In terms of sound it delivers a massive well-defined low and low-mid tone which is really nice for the more aggressive genres of music. The action of the strings was set nicely, the frets were well polished etc. However there were a few flaws which made me ask thomann for a refund: When it arrived the strings were really, really old and delivered a numb deaf tone. For some reason the electronics were mirrored so that the volume knob was the last one and not the one closest to my hand (I concluded that from the warwick "all basses" manual). Thomann's description of the instrument turned out to be misleading because there was no push/pull knob on the instrument i recieved - a feature I trusted to deliver for the tone versatility.
