So, I have been using Vic Firth 55A (I find 5A to thing and 5B a bit too thick..) for a long time but I have been after something a little heavier and more durable.
I play a lot of gigs (2hours minimums play) and although I tend to not break sticks I found the 55As lose their power after 2 or 3 gigs. I'd be a fairly heavy hitter but I like a lot of bounce and rebound. After trying a bunch of alternatives I gave the WIncet 55F and the 55FPs a try. The 55F Precision are ticking all the boxes for me right now. I'm getting plenty of bounce without losing power. I've done a bunch of gigs with them and they still feel close to new!
