I've owned the early MG12 , and also the V2 with 1 knob compression and effects. I use this desk live with DXS15's and the sound is nice loud and clear.
I moved to this desk after changing to a floor mounted TC voiceplay for my vocals, as to be honest the SPX derived effects were not too much to my liking....but the one knob compression I like very much.
My rating for features is harsh - but I don't need the effects or the USB capability of the other versions.
I tend to run flat on eq in most places, and don't use the auxiliaries - I run a full monitor mix on the group outs - I'm a guitar vocal act , using backing tracks.
So a very basic set up.
Easy to use, with each channel having mutes, and easy to mute the main or group outs.
The big plus is the kettle plug for mains instead of the old adaptor.
My only beef is the dimension have changed a bit from the older models, which meant a bit of flightcase compatibility - not a problem unless your upgrading....like me.
I've been using Yamaha pa for 10 years, and is my first port of call...in the past I've used JBL & Mackie bits - In my view the Yamaha stuff is better !
