Keep one in the bag, one plugged in so you can move your instrument without constantly unplugging power adapters. It's a bit expensive but better to be on the safe side and use an original one.

It definitely powers my Yamaha EAD10

I needed an EUR Power Adapter because I accidentally exploded my American adapter when I moved here and could no longer power my EAD10. This cable is very simple, no nonsense, and does the trick marvelously! I have had no complaints about it at all.
