Initially I struggled to choose between a Fender Squire or this Yamaha Pacific and can say I am quite happy with my purchase. The guitar is very well made and composed of good quality components and sounds great and warm. After a few months I am still using the standard delivered strings and I must say they keep up the tone quite good. Anyway this will be the first thing I shall be updating the soonest. Further I've installed the tremolo arm and loosened up the bridge tension. Remark that it is a fixed type of bridge allowing only to pitch down tremolo and not up. (It is not a floating bridge). Sure love the Old-Violin finish and wished the plastic finish came black from stock as they have them in the US instead of white. All considered a perfect buy!

The guitar is perfect right out of the box. No sharp frets, No fret buzz the satin finish gives you great feel when you move around the neck. This is my second Yamaha and their guitar are of great quality. Absolutely loving it. If you are looking for a beginner electric guitar Yamaha Pacifica should be your first choice.
