Nice Surprise
Romalt 30.01.2019
I bought this sopranino mainly because I could detect very little difference in comparison to the audio samples given, in the other more highly prized wooden sopraninoes, And I didn't want to fork out a lot of money again before I knew this instrument suited my hands.

What nice surprise I got. I compared the length to Moeck Flauto I got and Instantly saw that it was a little longer than the Moeck Flauto. Which means I can play it somewhat easier with my long fingers.

The second surprise was the sound was consistent, clean, crisp and projected more than the Moeck Flauto. And in no way inferior to a wooden model, just distinctly individual different.

All in all I am very pleased with the purchase of this sopranino. A poor man's wealth !

excellent entonation throughout the scale. Bright and happy sounds. You can stick it in your bag and play a few notes everywhere you want. It became my favourite recorder!

Quite good for beginers!
Anonymous 09.06.2016
Its beautiful, although it's plastic, and the quality of sound its unexpectedly satisfying. There is a little problem with the construction quality, if you are from a (in general) sunny country, be carefull, because the tuning can easily change in one day, as it happened to me.

In total its very good for beginners and players who want to have their recorder all day with them, and are afraid of damaging their instrument.

I promise, you won't cry for your money!

Disappointing sound quality
Leckerbeetje 08.02.2021
As I wanted to know more about the musical qualities of a sopranino I decided to give this Yamaha a try because I am a very happy player with my (plastic) Yamaha sopranos, altos and a tenor since many years.
The build quality of this sopranino is OK (be it not more than that), but I found its sound quality very disappointing. In my opinion, it makes this recorder rather useless.
