The best Low Volume I own
Nounce 05.11.2020
So I own the 14inch HH, the 16' Crash, the 18' crash/ride and this one. This feel the least like 'a low volume cymbal' out of all of those, probably also the loudest.

The bell is nice and crisp, sound very much like and actual bell and when riding it you get some nice sound.

As these cymbals, like the other ones, are heavily coated you leave dark finger print marks all over them when you touch them (it takes a while for the oils in your fingers to eat into the coating). I don't know if there is a way to prevent this or restore them but I kind of like the look, so I don't bother.

Overall very happy with my ride, I use them with an electric kit for practice and this beats any rubber cymbal out there without coming close.

Ooh this is so good ! I've been playing the 18" L80 for a few months as a ride .
The 20" is Way Way better !
It's a thicker cymbal and the ride feel is like a real ride :)
These are well worth having , the 18 is a bit thin as a ride.
Overall very happy with the purchase.

Not really impressed...
Anonymous 22.02.2017
Great service from Thomann, good invention of Zildjian, thumbs up. The L80's are really the best tool at this moment to practice your cymbal skills. And yes, I did a lot of research about 'silent drums'.

About this 20"; sorry, I'm not impressed. Why? They even sound higher then a 18" L80, which are more versatile as a crash/ride.

Yes, the 20" look good like all big cymbals, and yes, they are maybe just a bit more balanced, better for very fast and VERY HARD HITTING ride grooves. But with a good technique you can do the same with the 18".

May I suggest you to try and buy the old L80-packages, which are better because they are more versatile, and cheaper.

Zildjian!!!

Fantastic well balanced cymbal. It has a real feel. It is just a bit louder and ringy compared to the L80 16 and 18 crashes .

OM
The best low volume ride on the market?
Ole Martin 09.03.2019
This brings you very close to the real thing. I have a more pronounced body and are way more articulate compared to the 18" Crash\Ride. The only downside is a bit of a "pingy" bell and a sound volume pushing the limits of what can be calles "low volume". In total this is a awsome cymbal to practice on and use in low volume settings.
