i got this for a DVD player that i wanted to house in my Thon desktop 4U rack. the player is only half-width, and isn't made to take mounting brackets so this was my next-best solution. it's a simple thing, but quite hefty for what it is. it has a lip around the back edge to stop things sliding out and is made from heavy-gauge steel finished in black.
it *doesn't* include mounting screws; so make sure you have some available..
the finish seems like it can put up with use without becoming badly scratched too easily; but i guess that depends on how gentle you are with your gear. happy to recommend!

This thing is awesome, well built, I wish the front lip on the front was a little bit higher so that if you put small products or small things inside it will not fall. Overall I recommend this Rack Tray.
