Good but only for certain purposes

Before buying you should really evaluate the necessity of this product.

I've been using it in my rehearsal / recording studio for a year and have mixed thoughts on it. While it does block sound of drums (especially bass drum and snare drum) quite good the cymbals still cut through really much. It also isn't quite good for recording, because the sound reflects from the shield and creates a weird reverby type of effect. Since I use it both in rehearsals and in studio, quite often I do have to move it around and away from drums. For one person it's quite heavy to move. It also has really sharp edges, so you have to be extra careful not to harm any wires laying on the ground. As any translucent object it also gets dirty quickly which is obvious. Also - I have a 5 piece drum set 5 cymbals and the shield covers up about 150-160 degrees (I do have bass drum mic stand in front of bass drum) so that's another con for recording.

All in all - think twice before getting this, as it's a good product but only for specific reasons (e.g. live gigs in small venues).

The best!

This shield helps me alot as a drummer, because now i am not worrying anymore about hitting the drums and cymbals too soft or using rods everytime. I can now play a gig or singing in a caffe bar knowing that no one will complain about drums being too loud. The product is very good noise isolating, very good for live and studio, it covers 180 degrees around my kit, very easy to handle and firm when you place it around the kit, clear like a glass, sometimes my guitarist use 2 of this shields for his cabinet. The price is the best around, definetley worth every cent, it does it's job perfectly.

Good investment, when you have a loud drummer. The only issue is the weight, which makes it hard to transport, otherwise great product.

Can be used both in studio or at live purposes to minimize high-frequency bleed both in the drum mics and the other instruments as well.
