I have a Syrian zyriab oud with a scale length of 58.5 cm. It works great for this oud. The sound is very warm.
Tension is on the lower side, which I love. Especially for an Arabic oud. Makes it more comfortable to play. And I feel it gives a more authentic Arabic sound, as opposed to using high tension string.
After months of playing you will notice a decline of "power" in the sound. The strings will sound dead. As if the oud wants to speak, but his mouth is covered.
Which I feel is more noticeable with these strings than with other strings that I've used on other ouds. But, maybe my experience - and a change of oud - is making my ears more sensitive to that "loss of quality". Besides that, by that time, you should replace your strings anyway.
Also, after months it will not form much rust in the fret region. Which is better than other usual strings .
The only reason I'm buying other strings now is because I'm still experimenting with other strings. Other than that, these ones are definitely strings I'll return to.
