Excellent strings!
Stanovich 24.04.2020
I love the mandolin, but the twangy sound it usually has didn't fit my needs. These strings carry a warm, soft-spoken sound, while still producing plenty of volume. When treated properly, they'll last for years. Still testing a few more sets, but so far this is my absolute favorite.

Great strings for mandolin
MandolinStringUser 21.03.2021
I think these strings produce a great warm sound. I can recommend these strings especially if you are not fond of the extra pick noise from regular round wound strings.

The price is on the high side of life but for me these strings are worth it.

Long Lasting
Tom8611 30.03.2015
These Strings are great value for money, I've played 50 gigs on these and they still sound new. I love them, not too bright when fitted and they never get dull. If kept clean they will last.

I don't expect new strings to break at the loop
Jenna 28.01.2024
Love the tone of these strings, and have used them based on tone... but they have manufactiring issues, completely unacceptable at these prices.

I use Thomastic strings on blues acoustic and jazz guitars, violins and mandolins and reccomend them to customers (I've run a luthiery for close to 40 years)... BUT these Medium mandolin strings are flawed. I have a vintage F Gibson and an F Loar for pub sessions. Both have carefully maintained ailpieces with no sharp edges that could cause damage. I have now had 2 G string failures at the loop. This never happened until the latest batches...

Choose them for tone, certainly, but beware... they are not currently as well-made and robust as they used to be.
