Poor construction make this very unusable

I bought this capo to use my 5-string bass (tuned to B) so I can use it "as is" for C tuning songs (I may change to thinner strings in the future, but for now I prefer to use the strings that came with the bass). I play metal, so there is a lot of bass lines that rely on open strings, so I need to use a capo for the time beign.

The spider capo XXL is described as to work with 5-string basses, but the individual fingers (the plastic things that push the strings) are made of poor-quality plastic, and they break. The package comes with a few spare ones, but still, at the rate that they break, I will have an useless capo very soon.

Also, the soft parts that are in contact with the neck (designed to avoid any marks due to the pressure on the neck), tend to fall and I have had to re-glue them already a couple times.

I am quite disappointed if I am honest. I will keep looking for a capo that may suit my 5-string bass.

Bonne idée mais pas pour basses
Anonymous 21.12.2015

I found this capo overly complicated, which might be off-putting, like it was for me. I would recommend it only for those very motivated to spend time, try it thoroughly and make the most of it. I'd say that for the average guitar player (like me), it is unnecessary.
