A USB adapter for Dante networks

The Audinate Dante AVIO USB IO adapter is a compact, fully functional Dante interface – it's a simple and cost-effective way of connecting any computer to a Dante audio network, enabling recording and playback without the need to install additional drivers. The portable device, with its robust casing and built-in USB-A cable, is equipped with 2x2 channels with a resolution of 24Bit/48kHz. The entire system is managed via the easy-to-use Dante Controller software, and mobile devices can also be integrated into a Dante audio network with a compatible USB adapter.

Also supports the AES67 standard

The Dante AVIO USB IO adapter's most impressive functions are its high playback quality at extremely low latency rates, and the sample-accurate synchronisation it is capable of across an entire audio network. Conveniently, there's no need for an external power supply – instead, the Dante AVIO USB adapter simply operates via the USB port of the computer to which it is connected, or with a standard PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch. Of course, the Dante AVIO USB adapter is fully compatible with the Dante Domain Manager (DDM); it also supports the flexible AES67 format, enabling connections with non-Dante networks.

Ready for use on the road

Any audio network user who is looking for a practical, portable, and compact way of quickly connecting computers or mobile devices to a Dante network will find that Audinate's Dante AVIO USB IO adapter has all the bases covered. The adapter is automatically recognised as soon as it's connected, and the proprietary Dante Controller software makes it equally easy to operate – it's quite literally plug and play. The Dante AVIO USB IO adapter was expressly developed for mobile use, so its robust casing is made of ultrasonic-welded ABS plastic, with the high-quality USB cable ensuring reliable results in any situation.

About Audinate

Audinate was founded in 2003 by Aidan Williams. It introduced Dante, an innovative networking technology that finally solved the problems of delivering tightly synchronised audio with extremely low network latency. In doing so, Audinate transferred these advantages from IT technology to the professional AV industry. And in simplifying network setup, the manufacturer also created a new type of user interface that quickly proved intuitive and easy to use. Today, the Dante network is firmly established on the market and is used by companies worldwide for the professional transmission of audio and video signals. By the end of 2014, more than 170 manufacturers had partnered with Audinate. The most common areas of application are live events, broadcast transmissions, and conferences.

Transmitting and receiving made easy

The Dante AVIO USB IO adapter, with its bidirectional stereo input and output, is an excellent companion for conferences and presentations of all kinds. For example, portable devices – with audio coming from programs like media players, conference software, or presentation apps – can easily be connected to networked loudspeaker systems. Alternatively, the audio from a presentation or event can be captured and streamed live online using a single device. Despite its limited number of audio channels, the Dante AVIO USB adapter provides a great degree of flexibility and can be used in a wide range of applications.

D
A good addition to any Dante Network
Dan_333 12.01.2022
We use this little USB adapter to send stereo sound from one computer to another to use for live-streaming. It is a good solution when mixing audio on one computer and a final mix needs to be sent elsewhere. One thing to bear in mind with and Dante device is that you need to stay on top of any updates for the device over time. But apart from this, the sound is crisp and clear and easy to configure.

A nice easy way to get audio from any laptop on to a Dante network. It even works with my android phone. No drivers to install.
Would prefer a thicker more robust USB cable.
