Great

This pedal is a big time money saver. For a bedroom player like myself it's a must have unless you have deep pockets and can afford to buy many guitars assigned for different tunings. So don't be intimidated by the price of something like this. Think of it like a guitar money saver. You'll basically save a great amount of money on this pedal. Dropping a semitone is as easy as turning the knob on the pedal to dictate where the red LED light goes to whichever semitone option. There is also an octaver in this pedal too which very cool indeed.

Of course for people who gig there is the money saving perk too and also very convenient for not having to switch between songs as long as its a standard key and drop type tuning. For open tunings etc you'll have to figet with more than one string as this is a polyphonic type effect pedal,

Its easy to use with no noticable latency issues AT ALL since I got it but I haven't played anything passed the 4th semitone. Drop A is as far I'll go but the only bad thing about this pedal which is understandable for this kind of early technology is a noticable deterioration in sound clarity when you get to about 4 semitone onwards. Especially starting at the 5th semitone for people wondering depending on how low they get to in their style of music. Another thing to note is I'm using a budget solid state amplifier worth less than 200 euro so a lot of other amplifiers may be able to handle it better at the lower semitone settings.

Awesome Little Pedal
Apoplexia 14.04.2020
I bought this pedal in order to mitigate the want/need to try out an 8-string guitar, as this is much more affordable and is easily the best-sounding polyphonic pitch shifter pedal on the market, out of all the videos i have watched on Youtube.
I also wanted to use to emulate a bass guitar, as that is also costly and takes up room i don't necessarily have.

I just got it and tried it out and i quite like it! The tracking is very smooth and responsive, although i do hear more artifacts when playing chords then i did on the reviews i watched online, but it happens more with chords that are dissonant or out of tune.

I noticed that when i hear the acoustic string noise of my guitar while playing with the drop tuning on, it can sound pretty weird, but the human ear is that sensitive that even when the faintest sound is out of tune we definitely hear it. Playing louder or through headphones eliminates this problems of course!

I'm just disappointed that there are more artifacts the lower the note being played, both by shifting the pitch further down and by playing lower notes on the guitar even as less drastic settings.

I found it does what it's supposed to do. But it does change the sound differently moving up as opposed to down. I thought it muddied and darkened the guitar sound too much dropping the key ( one semitone) needing eq changes. Less so raising the key.
Might have been most useful dropping the guitar tuning and using this to raise back up to concert pitch but I found this trickier to use. Great idea though and a bombproof casing. Changed the sound too much for my liking.

Nice tracking but the latency is too much
M.Kh 27.09.2024
I like this pedal, but I don't use it much because the lag (latency) is too big for me.

So Convient!!
benny cooney 18.01.2023
Been eyeing up this pedal for so long and finally jumped on it and i have zero regrets.
Makes learning a song so much simpler. I can keep my guitar in standard/ drop d and let the pedal do the rest. (also very useful for rocksmith)
It sounds good to use for recording but i think anything below 2 or 3 semitones it becomes more apparent that theres a slight difference (at least to my ears)

Nice pedal
UZ123 10.02.2022
Works well on guitar and bass, as long as you dont try to lower the pitch more than about 4 or 5 semitones - after that it starts to sound a bit weird. It's great for playing live or practice, since you dont have to retune in the middle of the set or carry another guitar with you.
If you play at home just keep in mind that you will still hear the acoustic sound from your guitar and it might clash with what you are hearing from the amp. This is not a problem at louder volumes.

One pedal to tune em all.
syndroam 13.10.2021
Many contemporary metal or rock songs require downtuning. If you don’t want to do that to your instrument or don’t want to carry more than one guitar to your jams then this pedal is a life saver. Don’t expect it to sound like the real thing though… Expect some minor latency as well. I use it on bass too and it works decently but you can definitely hear that the notes are not natural. Still I love this pedal because i can play any tuning I want. Worth it!

Fine pedal but..
Daly 26.08.2017
I use pedal to drop tunning 1/2 or 1 step, mostly on clean. Sound was usable. The more steps you go down, tone becomes more artificial. With distortion or high gain amp channel, you can go more steps down before you hear that artificial, electronic sound. When it comes to tracking it works really well, no matter if you hitting chords or picking 1 note. For those that have super hearing, If you expecting that tone will be identical as if you tuned down your guitar then don't buy it. I eventually sold it because I was hearing diference, even in the mix.

Sounds great and has great tracking, but ...
Anonymous 19.12.2015
Makes popping sound when not playing and turning on the true bypass. A popping sound is not noticed when playing something (strumming a chord for example) and the true bypass is turned on. No problems when in one mode though. The product is best for someone who wants to change tuning between songs and not during songs.

The Drop is very good at tracking chords and there is no noticeable latency from playing to amp output. I use it for mainly dropping my guitar a tone from drop D to drop C.
