I think this module comes under the heading of 'very useful, but not sexy'.
I've used it to mix two LFO outputs and then sent that to modulate the filter cutoff, the PWM of the VCO, and also the CV input on the VCA.
Super useful.

A great workhorse
Anonymous 26.05.2016
I bought this to mix CV signals to a single input on filter modules; it works beautifully, is very solidly constructed and came with the screws required to mount it in my case.
It takes up little room, draws little power and is highly recommended for more complex patches!
I will be buying at least one more in the future.

Simple and to the point. Nicely engineered as you'd expect from Doepfer.
Four individual ins can be mixed into one out and everything works perfectly.
Recommended.

Great Fun
Anonymous 11.03.2015
Seriously, this little unit is great fun. MIxing modulations to create wierd and wonderful movements and mixing of envelopes to create unique sounding filters. It's important to keep in mind that if you want to mix audio signals you will find the 138b the better mixer I get muddled sometimes but I am new to the world of modular so these cheap but useful modules are vital for my progress.
