It does what it's supposed to do. Love it, really useful to have two vc crossfaders so small. I really don't mind at all that it has zero controls, usually when I want to crossfade, I just want to do that, move from one signal to another with a simple cv. Perfect!

JV
a good, affordable utility
Jean-Claude Van Damme 26.09.2022
To anyone finding Doepfer's sound dull, I agree with you, but then utilities don't really have a particular sound, so they really can't sound either good or bad. They must be judged on their handiness. This one, like many Doepfers, does a good job for an affordable price. The CV input is well calibrated so the unit behaves like you would expect. The only thing missing is a manual knob, but then a pair of crossfaders wouldn't fit in 4hp. So, no complaint. It's a good little module.

S
Doepfer simplicity in a handy crossfader
SoundManJohn 11.06.2024
I was looking for a straight forward crossfader and that's exactly what I got. This is what I love about small Doepfer modules, when patching gets complicated, the clear functionality helps. This module works for both audio and CV signals, allowing for endless modulation possibilities. The only 'hidden' feature is the jumper on the back which determines if the CV input either fully or partially closes the VCA. I mostly use symmetrical mode for slowly shifting between oscillator tones for drones.
