Gong Mallet Resonance Series

  • Medium soft
  • Heavy, soft spherical core
  • Covered with felt and fleece on a short 1.9 cm hickory shaft (29.2 cm length)
  • Produces a full, lush sound
  • Much softer than the small and medium mallets and produces much lower frequencies
  • It is surprisingly resilient off the gong and results in a slow, rich blossom.

It's bouncy, head the size of a tennis ball and weighs about 220g all in. Works well on all gong sizes. Probably better for more intimate gong play than filling a big space. I really like it.

Its perfectly balanced design makes it a joy to use, whether I’m working with delicate, subtle tones or building powerful crescendos. The head is soft enough to bring out rich, deep resonance without any harsh overtones, yet firm enough to maintain clarity and control. The craftsmanship is superb, and the handle feels comfortable and secure in hand during long sessions. This mallet has elevated my playing, bringing out the best in my tam tam. Highly recommend it to anyone serious about sound!

With very little effort, the most amazing tones can be gained from this mallet. I have a 32" chau, 36" TOL Water and a 24"wind. Works well with them all but so amazing my water gong

These Dragonfly RSMS Reso Medium Gong mallets are great.
I first used one of these mallets at a weekend Gong Workshop, where there were about 12 gongs of various sizes, materials and manufacturers. No matter what gong was played this mallet seemed to bring out a nice range of tones.
A very good allrounder of a mallet, hence why I bought this one.
