p
5 stars for Dynaudio!
pepepe 21.04.2022
Wow...these are one fine mixing monitors! And when I say mixing, I mean they're really far away from the hifi sound. I'm coming from Mackie MR624 and JBL 305 which are quite nice sounding boxes where every mix sounds awesome on them. Not the case with the Lyds though. I can't believe how every mix I played on them sounded sooo different, I was blown away by that! Very true in sound, great instrument separation, not missing anything, honest, tide bass, very natural and beautiful sound! The hiss many people rave about? Yes, it is there BUT only if you put your ear 5 cm next to the tweeter. I am listening from 1,10 m distance and I hear nothing, even when no music played in quite room. Design is really beautiful! Another thing I like about the Lyd's, no indication lights in front, they are on the back of the speaker, like you can't really tell speakers are ON, some people won't like it but I totally like that.
First time owner of Dynaudio and I think I'll stay with the family for a long! Next stop - Lyd 48!!!

And not to forget again...Thomann Rocks!

Edit:
After 3 years of extensive use I still stand for the above! This is the perfect mixing speaker for me, totally love it!
I just had a chance to compare my LYD's 7 to Kali Audio IN8 2nd wave (3 way) at my studio and Dynaudio blew them away right on the spot. Kali's mids and highs are nice but the bass is lacking, it's really not there, very chaotic and undefined. Didn't like the bass and the low mids at all. So....Dynaudio still for me 100%!

SC
Proper mixing tool
Simon Champagne 02.10.2024
I'm very impressed by these. Best mix translation I've had. They sure let you know if something's wrong. Very neutral and un-hyped. But they don't achieve neutrality with excess midrange. They just feel natural and let you "see" through music. Packs a punch if needed but very balanced at low volumes. If you're looking for something to enjoy countless hours listening to music, they are not it. They are tools to create, craft and mix music. Don't get me wrong, a great mix sounds incredible on them but they can be pretty ruthless. They replace a pair of Neumann KH80, which are very good, but these Lyd7 are miles better suited to my ears and my environnement (a heavily treated purpose built small home studio). Highly recommended.

Monitores de Estudio increibles
MickyMouse 20.05.2020
Sencillamente. Geniales.
