Super good value
Juan Micó 20.05.2020
Owning mostly single coil guitars I thought it would take me some time to adjust to this one, but it's so incredibly comfortable and fun to play that I warmed up to it almost instantly.
Epiphone have definitely upped their game. The tuners feel smooth and good quality, same for the neck.
Although I must say it came in need of some setting up. I also re-stringed it. Maybe the strings weren't that bad, but they felt very different to my usual brand.
All in all I'm very pleased with this guitar and would recommend it to anyone who likes the humbucker bite but doesn't want to put up with a heavy and uncomfortable Les Paul.

Great affordable SG
guitar_00 05.11.2022
Guitar is great for the money. Won't talk long so..
The good:
1) Very light
2) Great sound (very punchy, gnarly gain tones)
3) No sharp fret ends

The bad-ish:
1) Minor imperfection on the binding color (small portion is chiped off) but it's not affecting the instrument in any way
2) Small tool marks on the fretboard right next to the frets. Whoever polished the frets was not that careful (still minor though).
3) Needs a good setup (truss rod needed about a half turn of relief, action lowered, pickups lowered).

Quality control could be better, but imo it's a great SG for the price. I wouldn't spend another 1k for a Gibson for my needs, but I believe the quality would be better. I'm happy with it.

Great inexpensive guitar, but had to be set up, and had some minor imperfections
ElPabloDelDiablo 07.05.2023
Sounds and plays great, like a real SG.

However, in my case, it required a full setup (neck relief, action, intonation) as the neck was loose and the action out of the box was over 2mm on the top and bottom strings. After the setup, it's almost as good as a Gibson.

It has some minor cosmetic imperfections like a wobbly pickup selector switch in the middle position or neck binding not aligning perfectly with the nut. Frets could use a bit of filing at the ends, but it's not terrible and absolutely OK to play the way it is. The finish is perfect, with no scratches or anything whatsoever. Sometimes, I can hear some rattling noise coming from either the bridge or from under the pickguard, probably caused by a loose pickup wire or (I presume) cheap factory strings, so it's an easy fix.

Overall, a great guitar for the money, I recommend it 100%!
