Would definitely recommend
J_567 19.11.2020
After spending the best part of a year with this guitar I can give it a very solid 5 stars. Looks great, sounds great and overall just feels really nice to play.

I do have a very minor issue in which it very occasionally cuts out when selecting rhythm on the pickup switch but it comes back straight away after just moving the switch about a bit. It's rare enough for it not to bother me but would be an easy fix if it did and is unlikely to be a widespread issue.

Otherwise really good value for money and amazing quality at this price point. The vintage tuning pegs are a nice touch and as as non-professional, I honestly don't know if I'd notice the difference to the Gibson model despite the significant price difference.

Great guitar with minor issues.
Xyro 14.09.2022
As far as I know, this is the best Gibson SG Standard alternative, you can look yourself in the mirror and be like: "I AM ANGUS YOUNG" on a budget. The build quality is amazing, it is well built, and the knobs and pots are smooth and very sensitive to small adjustments. It plays amazingly overall, the pickups can do it all, whether it’s clean or distorted this instrument delivers the tones you're seeking.

However, there are some minor issues I've had with the guitar, most notably being the bridge, I did my research and found out that this is a common issue with the type of Tune-O-Matic bridge that comes with the Epiphone SG Standard, in my case, the bridge saddle of the B string was rattling whenever I pick the string, there are permanent solutions that might ruin your guitar, I chose to replace the bridge with a Gotoh bridge. Next, there are some quality control issues that aren't a big deal like the truss rod which was too tight, and the intonation which can be set easily.

Overall, I highly recommend this guitar if you want a solid rock machine on a budget.

Custom guitar with low price
Johnnybgood3 07.12.2021
This guitar has a great tone shape and awesome sound, in the minute I had start playing it , I fell for the sound.
Besides the guitar looks so good and the features and the sound so great that it makes you fell like you own a custom guitar while you bought it in it's low price compare to a real custom one.
It is a little disappointing that the guitar don't have a push/pull button to split the pickups but still the whole product is great and totally worth every single dollar that it cost

Solid Guitar

The Epiphone SG Standard Heritage Cherry is a really good electric guitar (assuming you like the feel, look, and sound of a sg guitar) The build quality is very good, on par with the original Gibson guitars. Of course, it makes sense since it's coming from the Epiphone inspired by Gibson lineup. People tend to forget but Epiphone was bought out by Gibson and became their "budget brand" so it isn't too surprising that the build quality is basically the same with no noticeable difference between them.

The sound of the guitar is just as good as the looks it has, no complaint here. The guitar comes pre-stringed with a set of original Gibson strings. And the giant pick guard definitely helps at guarding the finish no matter how aggressively you play.

Although there are many complaints about the SG and its infamous problem: The Neck Dive™; I have found this guitar has absolutely zero neck dive, now I can't say if this is because of the strap I bought and use on it (item number: 492427) but I definitely don't have this issue here.

The only real issue I've had, which went away after a quick fix, is the machine heads (tuners) being a bit loose but this might have happened only on mine and it was quickly resolved with a few screwdriver turns.

The reason why I put 4 stars on features is that I was quite sad at the lack of locking tuners, which would have been appreciated.

Overall as the title of this review says this is a really solid, well-made guitar with great sound and great looks. Definitely worth the money.
