If you're like me and decided to upgrade your squier with a fender AVRI vibrato, you've probably come across the problem of choosing the right arm for the system.
First of all, the system does not come with the arm so you need to get it separately. You need to be careful with it though, since they all differ from one another. Some CIJ and more modern systems have either the screw-in arm or just a flimsy push in type. This one has a small notch at the bottom which is there so it can grab the bottom of the AVRI system and basically lock into place.
Another thing to take into consideration is the fact that it does not come with a tip. I really dislike this, not because it's some expensive thing, but because it just goes to show how Fender tries to break down its products into many smaller products with the intention to get more money. So if you buy this, throw in the AVRI trem arm tip into your basket as well.
As much as I don't like this business practice, it is a very solid product. It is built nicely and is a substantial upgrade to the Squier one, therefore I can only rate it as excellent.
