I bought these frets in order to regret an old (not especially vintage) start that I have. The original frets on it were really badly worn and abused but also very narrow anyway. I didn't like them and they used to hurt my fingers when I did slides.
After installing them, spending lots of time filing them and then sanding and finally polishing them, I now have a much more useable guitar that has totally been transformed into a guitar that is a pleasure to play.
These frets are medium jumbo frets and after they have been installed and shaped, give you some nice smooth playing and not more hurting fingers from slides on sharper vintage style frets.
I believe the radius of these frets is prevent to 9.5" and I just had to bend them a fraction more to get them to fit comfortably on my 7.25" radius stratocaster.
I was surprised how cheap these Fender frets were, but then you realise that all the skill and quality of the re-fret is in the labour, skill and expertise. I certainly don't have all those skills in abundance, but if you have the patience and some basic wood work / metal work skills, you can install these frets and come away with an excellent result. You can breathe new life into that old used and abused favourite guitar.
