Fishman Resophonic Spider

Probably the best sounding pickup when used in conjunction with the Jerry Douglas Fishman Aura Pedal.
A very convenient and great sounding set up and easier to control than a mic, although a mic is obviously the better sound
I have this pick up on all of my dobros.

The only complaint is I've had pick up failures twice so replacements were needed.
Installation of these pickups is far from straight forward and requires professional luthier Installation (as it replaces the entire bridge and string slots need to be cut) so it has cost me quite a bit to have replacements fitted to my guitars.
That said, none of my dobro colleagues have had any issues so maybe I've just been unlucky.
But I would definitely recommend this pickup in conjunction with the associated Jerry Douglas pedal.

Sound und Verarbeitung des Pickups sind excellent - der Klang ist ausgewogen, alle Saiten sind wirklich gleich laut. Der Einbau ist des Pickups ist allerdings nichts für Musiker mit zwei linken Händen, denn handwerkliches Geschick ist hier unbedingte Voraussetzung. Der Tonabnehmer muß nämlich in die Bridge eingepaßt und dann eingebaut werden - dazu sind je nach Instrument Schleifarbeiten nötig. Falls sich jemand unsicher ist, dann sollte er lieber zum Gitarrentechniker seines Vertrauens gehen.

Cette cellule est parfaite ! J'en ai acheté une première et depuis mon Dobro squareneck Gibson sonne aussi bien branché qu'acoustique, grâce à la pédale Aura Fishman Jerry Douglas qui va avec.
Par contre, j'en ai acheté une deuxième pour un autre dobro et il s'avère qu'elle est défectueuse : jack HS dès la reception... pas cool ... et ensuite déséquilibre entre la partie aiguë et la partie grave (grosse différence de niveau constatée par le maitre luthier qui l'a installée... Du coup, la cellule est partie au SAV Fishman depuis... Dommage car ça sonne vraiment terrible !

Ceci dit, cela peut arriver, c'est juste pas de chance sur ce coup... hate de la recevoir à nouveau et de la réinstaller car c'est un réel plaisir à utiliser en live (super son, très peu voir pas du tout de larsen et des ingés son qui disent "c'est parfait, ne touche à rien" :) )

Mise à jour : J'ai depuis reçu une nouvelle cellule (très rapidement, d'ailleurs, bravo Thomann !) et ça marche parfaitement !
