I used it for guitar orchestra.
Considering an affordable option instead of octave guitar,
I tight them on a guitalele. And it sounds!
The formation of the orchestra is Balalaika contrabass, guitar, ukulele, and guitalele.
I skipped alto guitar because I want guitarists play without learning a new tuning.
Balalaika contrabass tuned E,A,D, same as 4,5,6 string of a guitar, one octave lower. Unfortunately Balalaika contrabass is discontinued in Thomann.
Ukulele is a popular instrument so its not hard to include ukulele player.
Octave guitar tuning is same as a guitar, EADGBE, an octave higher of course.
So I can form an orchestra with guitarists and ukulele players easily.
And this Fisoma string is a gift, a secret weapon. I bought twenty.
The string is thin but the tension is high that I afraid it will break.
Replace at once if cut are seen.
After a few years, it still didn't break.
But a slightly curve bend observed in the bridge of guitalele.
An octave guitar should be a better replacement.
It made the orchestra sounds full range, as high as violin. Guitalele with Fisoma can sound like mandolin but it is nylon. But the playability of guitalele will be better than mandolin for guitarists. Therefore this string is inevitable.
But the orchestra disband finally due to a political issue, and we become refugees. The new security law made the place no longer free to enjoy music. So, treasure and play more when we have chance to play.
