Good but heavy

I bought this trolley for my hardware. I'm not using heavyweight hardware and I always looked for a fairly small trolley for lugging my small jazz kit around. This trolley is smaller than most hardware cases I've had, and it's very well made. It looks like it's going to last many years. However, there are two downsides to it:

1. It's quite heavy, and given the fact that it's made to carry the heaviest parts of your kit, this thing is not easy to carry.

2. The handle is quite short, which makes you lean in an awkward way in order to roll it around.

Conclusion: I'm happy with this trolley and it's definitely going to stay with me for many years, but if you're looking for a lightweight, compact trolley that you can take on public transport etc, you might find this one a bit impractical.

I was searching for a small bag that could fit all my gear.
this is really amazing.

It can fit:
1 tama classic hihat stand
3 tama classic cymbal stand
1 tama classic snare stand
3 legs of floor tom
1 drum throne with small round seat 28cm diameter (the bigger thrones can't fit properly, or to fit a bigger throne you will take a lot of space with the seat..)
1 iron cobra power glide inside the tama powerpad single pedal bag
1 tama designer stickbag
1 remo silent practice pad
and still has room for some shakers and percussion stuff.

I specified the gear i use because this gear is really light and thin.
I have not tried with the traditional heavy duty gear..

the only thing i would like this to have is a retractable handle because i'm very tall so to carry this around with the wheels i have to curve myself and walk like a hunchback..

GEWA SPS Hardwaretrolley 70 cm

Wonderful Hardware bag. The SPS reinforced sides and sections are a very nice feature. It provides some additional protection for sure. Additionally with just thick fabric the ends and parts of stands usually stick out stretching the fabric and this system keeps some of that stress down on the bag too. The handles are very sturdy, all the stitching is top quality. This bag was designed extremely well w attention to detail. Wheels are sturdy and look like they will last. The under protective outer fabric is rubber plastic like and seems more durable than other bag I have owned. For me the very best bag yet. The size I got is 70 cm as I am a jazzer and like very light hardware, generally use Ludwig atlas classic stands and it does require a big bag that takes up the whole back seat of my small car. This size is close to perfect. I would actually prefer about 3 inches shorter as small but functional is perfect for me. This is that and SUPER STURDY and Sleek!!!

it's not cheap but it is worth it

ok, so this hardware bag is not cheap. I have it for almost year and a half , did over 100 gigs with it . Bag was constantly in transit, from one car to another, took a regular beating as it goes with gig bags , and it took it all without a scratch. Also worth noting are wheels, they are of good quality and don't show any sign of wear or damage. This is a workhorse of a bag. I'm missing only one feature and that is telescope handle , the one you see on a regular travel bag.
Offcourse , there is a trade off with it being firm and sturdy. And that is weight. Even when empty it has quite a weight , so you could end up sometimes looking in the empty bag and checking if there is any cymbal stand left there :-)
