At first when I removed the strings from their package I found real smooth flat strings. The purple wiring looks a bit strange. Strung onto the bass and plugged into the amp the strings brought the following result:
- The E string sounded very dark mellow, a little bit too old maybe
- The A string sounded quite right
- The D and G string sounded too much like metal and had too much highs in it.
With 3 differen sounds the strings did not sound really compact.
