These VOS models are just superb. Gibson Custom Shop is really hitting it out of the park these days.

The "chunky C" neck is my favourite of all profiles. It just makes the whole guitar sing and resonate the best. And the taller vintage frets feel precise and smooth under the fingers.

A masterpiece.

Oh oui ... Un jour, elle sera mienne !!! C'est chose faite !!!

Habitué aux single coil (1 strat et 1 tele) depuis plus de 20 ans, je voulais varié un peu ma palette sonore avec une pelle aux sons plus chaud ...
J'ai jeté mon dévolu sur cette beauté et je ne suis pas déçu.
Il m'a quand même fallu un temps d'adaptation.
Déjà, le manche de cette R7 est conçu pour les grosses paluches. Ça tranche par rapport aux manches Fender car plus épais et large. C'est moins fluide. Ensuite, ça ne se joue pas du tout pareil.
Bref, ce type de guitare s'apprivoise ...
Passé cette étape, c'est que du bonheur !!!
En OD, ça envoie vraiment du steak. On claque juste 2 cordes et l'ampli prend feu ...
Le son clair n'est pas en reste. C'est chaud, défini et équilibré.
Elle est aussi plus polyvalente que je ne le pensais. Du rock-hard rock (normal) au blues en passant par du jazz, du reggae ... Elle a son mot à dire dans beaucoup de registres. Parfois, en jouant juste des potards.

Alors, certes, cette beauté n'est pas pour toutes les bourses mais je ne regrettes absolument pas mon investissement.
