Compared to my Gibson LP Custom 2 pick-up, there is little to pick between them in terms of one being 'better' than the other. However, the 3 pick-up guitar does give better tonal options due to the additional pick-up whereas the 2 pick-up is more limited and in keeping with the traditional Gibson Les Paul sound. I think it's all really down to personal preference, but for me having a greater tonal versatility is a good option to have. Highly recommended.
