Mein Interesse an der Guild Polara Deluxe wurde durch Josh Kaufman geweckt, den ich bei einem Konzert in Hamburg erlebt habe. Er spielte die alten Guild S-100-Modelle aus den 70ern, die leider schwer zu bekommen sind. Daher habe ich mir die Polara Deluxe genauer angesehen – und wurde nicht enttäuscht!

Die Verarbeitung ist erstklassig, und das Cherry Red Finish sieht einfach fantastisch aus. Der warme, vielseitige Sound ist beeindruckend, besonders dank der Tonabnehmer, die in allen vier Positionen spannend und charakterstark klingen. Das habe ich mir vor dem Kauf in diversen Videos angehört, und die Vielseitigkeit hat mich überzeugt.

Die Bespielbarkeit ist ebenfalls großartig – der angenehm geformte Hals sorgt für stundenlangen Spielspaß. Insgesamt eine fantastische Gitarre, die nicht nur optisch ein Highlight ist, sondern auch klanglich voll überzeugt.
