Bought this case for my DW PDP 14". I was looking for durable and rigid case for touring purposes. Snare fits great and has soft internal support. Overall it fulfills its mission and I like it from inside and outside.
Would definitely recommend it to others.

Vorab, ich bin Keyboarder und hab das Case als Geburtstagsgeschenk für unseren Drummer besorgt. Er hat so eine Sonor Signature Mörder Snare, für die es unglaublich schwer ist, einen passenden Koffer zu finden. Dieses Teil passte letztlich. Es scheint auch die Snare einigermaßen sicher aufzunehmen. Viel Luft ist aber nicht mehr. Die Verarbeitung dieser Hardcases (ich hatte auch ein anderes, das wieder zurück musste, weil zu klein) macht eigentlich einen guten Eindruck. Mir ist das Verstauen der Snare in so einem Case zu umständlich, bin aber mit Keyboards aber auch anderes gewohnt. Trommeln zu verpacken scheint allgemein nicht einfach, wenn man nicht jede Trommel einzeln in einem eigens dafür gefertigtem und exakt passendem Holz-Case transportieren will, was vermutlich auch viel zu aufwendig und zu teuer wäre, abgesehen von dem Lieferwagen, den man eigens dafür haben müsste. Keyboarder sind anderes gewohnt, ich bin auch froh, kein Drummer zu sein.
Unser Drummer findet dieses Case jedenfalls super.

The Hardcase HN14FFS 14" Snare Case is especially designed for Pearl Free Floating Snare Drums.
The only thing I do not completely understand about it is the extremly wide diameter. Even though the Pearl Free Floaters probably ARE slightly wider than standart snare drums, I find this case to be oversized - hence the four stars in the "handling" kategory. In terms of taking up space in your car this size aspect might be one to consider.
In addition if you don't want your Snare to move inside the case - which it will do eventually, no matter how hard you tighten the yellow straps - you should fill the case up with some kind of dampening material.
I would recommend checking if your Free Floater might fit into others cases with smaller diameter before buying.
Apart from all that I would like to stress that I never had any problem with this case! It does what it is supposed to do very well :-)
