Incredible value for money

I was looking for a cheap fret-less as an experiment and the price point and features of this instrument proved impossible to resist. At such a cheap price I was expecting the worst but the instrument sounds great and plays well right out of the box with a basically good setup. The only flaw I found was that the D and G strings were a little high which was only noticeable playing above the 12 fret (or what would have been the 12 fret were it not a fret-less bass!!). The bridge saddles would not go any lower when adjusted with the keys that come supplied. When I took off the monorail bridge and had a look, the bridge saddles were just too high. I filed off about 1-1.5 mm with a flat file and now the action is perfect. This was however a very small price to pay for such a good piece of kit. I now feel very confident about buying another Harley Benton instrument and am already planning my next purchase.
