Amazing quality

I bought this guitar with the intention of making a few modifications, because of the price I wasn’t expecting much. From opening the box & unwrapping it, I was stunned at the build quality and finish of this guitar. lefties are always restricted to what we can buy but Thomann have always been a great regarding left-handed guitarist and have brought out a nice selection of guitars (long may it last). Anyway back to the ST-20 after a quick tuneup and a little height adjustment of the strings this thing plays as good as my American fender Stratocaster!!! I am blown away by the playability and sound of the pickups. A beautiful 3 town Sunburst with an unfinished Mabel neck that feels fantastic, a little chunkier than a modern C but it feels fantastic. Beautifully polished frets with no threat sprout and
or high frets. As a seasoned player with under 40 years experience im simply amazed how Thomann can sell this guitar for this price. Well done Thomann again 10 out of 10 this is my 12th left handed Harley Benton guitar to date and you have not let me down yet. Well done Thomann keep up the good work

GH
Stunning!

I originally purchased the red one with the Maple neck and was blown away by it so much that I bought this one! I have to say I prefer this neck as its slightly bigger and feels more like a "Strat". Its a great guitar and plays great straight out of the box. Only upgrade I did was tuners, the ones that are stock are good but i like the extra security of upgrading them to Wilkinsons. Its very playable and has great tomes on every pick up, only flaw I would say is the volume pot, rolling off dampens the tone a little but for this price range I cant complain. Would make a great first guitar for a beginner or a workhorse for a seasoned pro, they are great value and the finish on them are way above their price point.

S
It great for the price

It is for my friend to practice, there were no dead spots with the frets but the fret ends was a little sharp, that was easily taken care of with a manicure file. it is great for the price and he loves it.

Traditional tone

I had fallen out of love with this type of guitar having owned many before and always been disappointed, so sold them on. Then for one particular song I needed a bridge humbucker equipped guitar with trem so I bought a cheap one from another maker. It was 'S' shaped and I was really pleased with the playability and quality of the components.
The one thing it lacked was a single coil bridge pickup sound, think a Buddy Holly rhythm sound. I had seen a few reviews of Harley Benton guitars online and investigated the left hand offerings. It was the sound examples on Thomann's Web site that convinced me to give this guitar a try, I preferred the ceramic pickup sound to the alnico on the more expensive model. So I saved some money and got a guitar with the sound I was looking for.
In sunburst finish the guitar looks classy the only nod to the lowly price I paid is the neck grain, but the neck itself is very nice. A very playable, good quality, bargain priced guitar.
