Excellent piece of kit.

I needed a stand to plonk my sousaphone on between performances on a band trip to Germany. Previously the instrument would have been taken apart and returned to its case, only to be re-assembled for the next set.

I decided to get the stand as the instrument is an attraction for the band in itself, due to the lights that are attached to it, and it saved me the bother of having to get back before everyone else to get ready.

In summary, the stand is sturdy, steady and ideal for my instrument. The only minor downsides are that the arms whet the instrument sits into needed to be bent slightly to allow it to fit snugly, and it is a little cumbersome to lug about. A carry bag for it would be a huge bonus. I use some Velcro ties to attach it to the spare handle on the sousaphone case, but a bespoke bag would be ideal.

Bon pied pour soubassophone

Bon stand pour soubassophone. Bien stable. Cependant la partie haute s'adapte moyennement au tube du souba. Il ne rentre pas parfaitement dedans. C'est un peu décalé, mais ça ne gêne pas vraiment.

Vergleich zwischen K&M und Hercules

Ich war sehr überrascht gewesen im Vergleich der beiden Sousasphoneständer. In der Verarbeitung und Qualität sind beide gleich. Geht es um die Sicherheit des Instrumentes ist der Hercules Stands DS551B am sichersten. Wegen der drei Greifarme liegt das Sousaphone in den Armen fest.

Très pratique mais pas très solide ...

Utilisé pour deux concerts et une soudure a lâché pour le 3ème ... Les pattes de fixation qui retiennent le soubassophone par le dessous sont soumises à rude épreuve, et il y a seulement deux petits points de soudures.
Très pratique avant qu'il se casse ...
Je vais le confier à un soudeur, car cela reste malgré tout un des seuls stands à prix très abordable sur le marché.
