All the power, none of the noise
tpcoderre 27.01.2022
I wanted in to the 500 Series world and so I began my research.

I knew I wanted SSL modules, and other Class A preamps that require solid power. I also didn’t want to introduce power supply noise to adjacent modules so an external P/S seemed like a right fit for me.

I didn’t want to commit to 8 or 10 slots straight away, and I wanted to build channel strips through linking slot inputs/outputs on the box without requiring patch cabling.

The Heritage OST-4 V2 perfectly met all my needs and Thomann exceeded my expectations in service and support.

I unreservedly recommend this box!

Works like it should
KarolisG 21.12.2021
Everything works well with this unit. There is not much to say about the functionality, it simply does what it does. I have nothing to compare it against as it is my first rack unit, but overall I am happy with it. The green lights give it a lovely aesthetic when on. The only annoying thing is that there is no power-on switch, but it is not a dealbreaker. Small, aesthetic, and a good way to get into 500 modules

Great Lunchbox
MicaMica 22.06.2020
My first 500 series lunchbox.

I am very happy with this purchase. This is a lunchbox which holds 4 500 series modules. Which is perfect for me and I intend to fill it with mic pres.

Its a simple design you slot your modules in and their ready to go. The power supply is external and will power your modules. its very well built, a metal chassis that is very robust.

All in all its perfect if your looking to start using 500 series modules

M
Ideal size for Vocal Signal Chain
Matttttttttttt 20.10.2023
Having my first 500 Series is a good experience.

The unit is a neat and tidy size, solid unit, secure slot fit for each unit also.

Great to have rear buttons to send signal rather than rely on patch leads - although still totally easy to patch out to DAC at any slot.

Have not detected any unexpected noise as yet in the signal, so happy with the purchase. Recommend for 4 module signal chains.
