I bought a "Höfner Ignition Violin Guitar BK" on impulse, due to it's good looks. I play it recreationally rather than professionally. I play the guitar through a Blackstar ID Core 40 amplifier, it sounds like nightingale on the clean warm or clean bright settings with a bit of reverb but it can bark like a mad dog on other settings, it doesn't sound too bad when played unplugged. Try the sound samples on the Thomann website.

The guitar is well made and finished, very light and visually stunning. For me, the only draw back is that there is only a choice of two finishes in Höfner Ignition Violin Guitar range, black and sunburst, the possibility of a few more colours in the range would be the only improvement that I could suggest.

For the price, you get a lot of quality for your money I found Thomann very good to deal with, pre purchase questions were answered quickly and delivery was prompt.

CATASTROPHE.
Manche bombé, tout frise.
Aucune note, même celles qui ne frisent sonnent faux, malgré l'accordage avec un accordeur.
Pontets très mal réglés à faire en reprendre.
Sélecteur très bruyants et sensation "cheap", avec des mouvements parasites lorsque on switch.
Feutrine toujours présente sous le chevalet.
Cordes à changer immédiatement même pour les moins regardants (même pour les débutants)

Dommage on s'attend à mieux de Thomann, à minima un petit contrôle avant envoi.

Compter 100€ de luthier, et le temps qui va avec avant de pouvoir jouer. Pour une guitare à 350€ ça fait mal et ça refroidi.

Je referais une évaluation post boulot du luthier

Nacharbeit ist dringend erforderlich

Die Verarbeitung lässt wirklich zu wünschen übrig, besonders der Sattel ist viel zu hoch und schief eingekerbt. Auch das Material ist viel zu weich.
Die Pickups sind gut, eingestellt ist überhaupt nichts, weder der Hals, noch die Brücke.
Ich dachte immer bei Thomann gibt es eine Endkontrolle, das scheint aber nicht der Fall zu sein. Das angehängte Kontrollschild war auch nicht ausgefüllt.
Wenn man da nichts selber machen kann, muss man noch ca. 100 Euro beim Gitarrenbauer lassen um die Gitarre spielbar zu machen.
Dann allerdings hat man eine top Gitarre.

Siempre quise tener esta guitarra...así que no me lo pensé dos veces. La calidad de acabado no es muy buena pero es acorde con el precio pagado. No obstante no es un problema para mí pues le estoy mejorando todos sus puntos flacos, le he cambiado la electrónica, puesto una cejuela de grafito e incluso le añadí un "sound post" bajo el puente. Con Thomastik js111 me encanta como suena.
