Bought this because I wanted to get a nice harmonica with the sound to match, comes in a robust plastic case, the harmonica itself has some nice engraving and feels like quality. It sounds as well as it looks and gives a nice smooth mellow tone. Very impressed with it overall and delighted I went all out to get a nice instrument.

Die Toots Harmonika ist ein wunderbares Instrument, vor allem in den höheren Lagen klingt sie fetter als z.B. die CX12 oder auch die Suzuki SCX-48.
Leider werden die Stimmplatten bei diesem Modell noch immer auf den Kanzellenkörper genagelt und nicht verschraubt. Das macht die Wartung etwas nervig.

Das ist schon meine 3. Mellowtone in 3 Jahren, die Stimmzungen halten nicht all zu lange und können nach einer gewissen Zeit brechen.

@Hohner: bitte verschraubt auch dieses Model!

Ayant déjà un modèle Hohner Toots "Hard Bopper" et un "Hohner Chromonica II M270C-Ten" (Low C), ainsi qu'un ancien "Hohner Larry Adler C 64", je peux dire que le son du "Mellow Tone" est particulièrement subtil et velouté (proche du Larry Adler), ce qui convient à ce que j'en attendais. Le "Hard Bopper", tout en restant dans les mêmes sons boisés offre une sonorité un peu plus métallique et puissante, très adaptée à un jeu plus moderne ou Jazz. Très heureux de ces deux modèles "Toots". La qualité de fabrication est simplement la même que celle des autres modèles Chromonica, à qqs détails près.
